Thun wins against Kriens 3:0

Match report.
Thun got off to a furious start in the second test match before the resumption of the championship. Already after 12 minutes of play the home team led against SC Kriens with 2-0. In the 10th minute Ridge Munsy was right on target with a sharp input from Stefan Glarner and only had to push in for 1-0. Two minutes later a corner from Leonardo Bertone found the head of Chris Kablan. The Lucerne-born player scored an untenable 2-0 against his ex-club and Kriens subsequently managed to make the game more balanced. Shortly before the end of the exceptionally 100-minute game, Grégory Karlen, who was substituted in the second half, made everything clear. With a remarkable swerve from the edge of the penalty area, he scored the final result of 3-0.

Thun and Aarau draw

Match report.
Bild: freshfocus

On Saturday, the Brügglifeld offered a first foretaste of the coming Ghost Games. FC Thun Berner Oberland met Challenge League side FC Aarau in their first test match before the resumption of the Super League.
After a balanced start, the home side gained a game advantage with a 1-0 goal. A high entry into the penalty area could not be brought under control by the Thun defence, so the ball finally ended up with Damir Mehidic. With a shot into the far corner he brought FC Aarau into the front. Just six minutes later, Simone Rapp had the big equalizing chance when his shot rebounded off the crossbar.
At half-time, coach Marc Schneider replaced most of the team. This measure proved effective. Thun was the deciding team after the change of sides. Finally, in the 78th minute of the game, the longed-for equalizing goal was scored. Nias Hefti's shot rebounded from the post, but Matteo Tosetti was in the right position and scored a remarkable direct shot into the high left corner to make it 1:1.

On Saturday, 13 June, Thun will meet SC Kriens in the second test match. Kick-off is at 4 pm.

5:3 victory against Wil

Match report.
The second test match of the second round preparation led FC Thun Berner Oberland to FC Wil in Eastern Switzerland. Thun started the game full of pressure and already in the 4th minute of the game they took a 1-0 lead through a head goal by the ex-Wil-player Basil Stillhart after a corner. While the Oberlanders were the dominating team in the first 20 minutes, the Eastern Swiss were able to balance the game afterwards.
However, the game became really thrilling only after the change of sides. 5 goals in 15 minutes offered pure spectacle. Only two minutes after the restart by Duah, FC Wil equalized 1:1. In return Dennis Salanovic was fouled in the 48th minute of the game in the penalty area. The following penalty kick was taken by Chris Kablan, who scored the goal 1:2, and only one minute later Simone Rapp took the ball into the goal to make it 1:3. In the 55th minute of the game, Rapp once again potted the ball into the net, head on, to make it 1:4. Only a clockwise turn later, Duah again benefited from a short back-pass and scored for 2-4, but Hiran Ahmed restored the three-goal lead six minutes later with his goal for 2-5. The final point was set by Silvio from Wil in the 80th minute with his head goal for the 3:5 final result.
