2:0 victory against Chiasso

Match report.
The game
In the first minutes of the game, both teams allow little to happen. Saleh Chihadeh scores the first good opportunity to take the lead, but Chiasso goalkeeper Alexandros Safarikaspariert its conclusion. Meanwhile, the home team has the best chances to score in the first half. Due to two of Thun's own errors in the 15th and 31st minute of the game, Chiasso scored two goals on the post. After the change of sides the Oberlanders find their way into the game better. When Luka Stevic is sent off in the 57th minute with yellow-red, Thun completely dominates the game. In the 60th minute of the game the newcomer Gabriel Kyeremateng comes to his first assignment for the guests. The German Gahanaer stands just four minutes on the field, when he scores the leading goal with his first chance to make it 1-0 for Thun. Just under a quarter of an hour later Nuno Da Silva scores the 2-0. Although Chiasso scores the third aluminum goal in injury time with a free kick, Thun deservedly wins the game.

Thun loses against Xamax

Match report.
The game
In a disheveled game, Thun shows great difficulty with the combative Xamax. After 12 minutes, Freddy Mveng scores the 0:1 after an insufficiently defended Xamax corner with a low shot from a distance, and in the 57th minute Louis Mafouta doubles the score to make it 0:2. Even after the change of sides Thun succeeds only a few coherent actions. But with Saleh Chihadeh's 1:2 follow-up goal in heels, which is well worth seeing, the Oberlanders are once again gaining hope. But this hope is shattered shortly before the end of the game, when Rafael Nuzzolo scores the final result of 1:3 in the 90th minute of the game.

Thun loses against Lucerne

Match report.
Match report
There is no sign of a class difference in the cup match between Thun and Lucerne. In the first half of the game, the Thuners control the action over long distances and get several top-class chances. However, Lucerne has the best chance before the break. Ibrahima Ndiaye misses in front of the empty goal. After the change of sides the Oberlanders do not manage to put the Lucerneers under as much pressure as they did in the first half. In the 58th minute of the game, it is finally Marvin Schulz, who finishes a combination worth seeing with the goal for 0:1. Thun tries to react and gets close to the equalizing goal a few times, but finally the sixteenth final in the Swiss Cup is the final stop for Thun.

5:3 victory against Wil

Match report.
The second test match of the second round preparation led FC Thun Berner Oberland to FC Wil in Eastern Switzerland. Thun started the game full of pressure and already in the 4th minute of the game they took a 1-0 lead through a head goal by the ex-Wil-player Basil Stillhart after a corner. While the Oberlanders were the dominating team in the first 20 minutes, the Eastern Swiss were able to balance the game afterwards.
However, the game became really thrilling only after the change of sides. 5 goals in 15 minutes offered pure spectacle. Only two minutes after the restart by Duah, FC Wil equalized 1:1. In return Dennis Salanovic was fouled in the 48th minute of the game in the penalty area. The following penalty kick was taken by Chris Kablan, who scored the goal 1:2, and only one minute later Simone Rapp took the ball into the goal to make it 1:3. In the 55th minute of the game, Rapp once again potted the ball into the net, head on, to make it 1:4. Only a clockwise turn later, Duah again benefited from a short back-pass and scored for 2-4, but Hiran Ahmed restored the three-goal lead six minutes later with his goal for 2-5. The final point was set by Silvio from Wil in the 80th minute with his head goal for the 3:5 final result.

Match report
Thun starts the barrage return match against FC Vaduz with a two goal mortgage. Already in the first minutes it becomes clear that the Thun team believes in its chances and accepts the fight. Then the shock in the 19th minute of the game: Mohamed Coulibaly scores from close range per head to give the Liechtenstein side a leading goal. But Thun continues to press and scores the equaliser just before the break. Goalie Benjamin Büchel steers a header from Basil Stillhart into his own goal. No sooner has the second half kicked off than the Vaduz goal is heard again. Leonardo Bertone hammers the ball fantastically from the edge of the penalty area into the top corner to give a 2-1 lead. But Vaduz is again the spoilsport and only four minutes later Coulibaly equalises the score with a 2-2 lead. In the 69th minute of the game, the Oberlander's final neck-blow: Tunahan Cicek closes a counterattack with a 3-2 lead for the visitors. Thun still turns the game around thanks to two goals from Ridge Munsy and Simone Rapp, but in the end the 4-3 victory is not enough to keep them in the league. Thun has to go into the Challenge League.

Match report
In a hard-fought first half, it is the home team that can cheer for the first time just before the break. In stoppage time, Tunahan Cicek scores from close range to make it 1-0. Vaduz also find their way into the game better after the change of sides. In the 58th minute of the game, Manuel Sutter can benefit from a mistake in the Thun defence and move in for a 2-0 lead. FC Thun Berner Oberland then dominates, constricting the Liechtenstein side in their own half and almost scoring the next goal through Miguel Castroman in the 86th minute of the game. Zurich-Thun: 3:3

Match report.
Bild: freshfocus

Match report
Thun puts pressure from the start and dominates the Zurich team at times, but without getting any compelling scoring chances. But the home team showed impressive efficiency and took a 1-0 lead with the first opportunity in the 15th minute of the game through Benjamin Kololli. Thun continues to attack - but Zurich succeeds once again. Bla┼ż Kramer wormed his way through the Thun penalty area in the 33rd minute of the game and scored a 2-0 win in a falling game. The second half also began in the same style. Thun makes the game, Zurich is successful. In the 56th minute Toni Domgjoni scores the 3-0 on the inside of the post, but the Oberlanders are not beaten yet and start an impressive comeback. In the 74th minute, Ridge Munsy scores a volley from close range to make it 3-1. 10 minutes later, Simone Rapp is successful after a cross from Matteo Tosetti and scores a header to make it 3-2. Shortly before the end of regular playing time, it is Ridge Munsy again who circles the Zurich goalkeeper and scores the 3-3 from an acute angle. However, since FC Sion can celebrate their 2-1 win over Servette shortly afterwards, Thun's catch-up is meaningless. The Oberlanders will have to play the relegation games against Vaduz on Friday 7 August and Monday 10 August.
